Ingredients:
10 Granny Smith Apples
2 Pie Crusts (for a 9" pie)
1/2 Cup of Sugar
2 Tablespoons of Brown Sugar
2 Teaspoons of Cinnamon
Preparation:
2 Pie Crusts (for a 9" pie)
1/2 Cup of Sugar

Preparation:
Remove the skin from 3 additional apples and slice thinly.
Let your pie crusts come to room temperature (approximately 15 minutes on counter).
Cover the pan filled with apples with aluminum foil.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Apples will be soft.
Mix the sliced apples with sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon on low setting until the apples are well coated (do not over mix or apples will be crushed into a sauce).
Roll out one of the two pie crust rounds. Using a glass, stamp out 12 circles
Place six of your pie crust rounds in each of the hollow apples
Scoop your apple slices into each of the hollow apples
Place the remaining six pie crust rounds on top of each filled apple
Roll out your second pie crust and slice into 1/4 inch strips (approximately).
Cover each of your filled apples with a lattice pattern of pie crust strips
Place the apples in 9 x 12 pan.
Fill the pan with 1/8 inch of water.
Cover the pan filled with apples with aluminum foil.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Apples will be soft.
